How to use the Random Character Wheel
The Random Character Wheel gives you a character to draw, write or play. Here's how to pick a genre and build them out.
Quick start
- Choose Mixed, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Adventure or Everyday.
- Spin. The wheel picks one character type.
- Give them a name, a goal and a problem, and you've got a story.
- Spin again for a sidekick or a rival.
Pick a genre
Choose Mixed, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Adventure or Everyday. Sci-Fi is astronauts, androids and space pirates; Everyday is the barista, the detective and the mad scientist next door.

Build them out
- Spin a hair color and eye color for their look.
- Spin a job and an element for their backstory.
- Write one line of dialogue in their voice.
Your prompt
The card shows the character. Making a cast? Remove & spin again gives you a different character each time.
