How to use the Name Wheel
The Name Wheel picks a name from your list, fairly and in front of everyone. Here's how to load your names, stop repeats and keep track of who's been picked.
Quick start
- Type a name and press Enter, or paste a whole list — one name per line or separated by commas.
- Select Spin the wheel. A name is chosen at random before the wheel starts to move.
- The wheel stops on that name and it appears in the result card.
- Spin again, remove the winner, or turn on No repeat so each name is picked only once.
Add your names
Paste a whole list at once, one name per line, or type names separated by commas. Every name gets its own slice, and the list is saved on this device for next time.

No names yet? The Random Name Generator can create a list and send it straight to this wheel.
Everyone gets a turn
Switch on No repeat and each picked name leaves the wheel before the next spin, so nobody is chosen twice until everyone has had a turn. History keeps a running list of every pick, with the time.

The picked name
The result card shows the name in large type. Spin again keeps everyone on the wheel; Remove winner takes that name off by hand.

FAQ
How many names can I add?
Up to 100 names on one wheel. You need at least two to spin.
Is every name equally likely?
Yes. Each slice has the same chance. A name you added twice has two slices, so it is twice as likely.
Can I stop the same name being picked again?
Turn on No repeat. Each winner is taken off the wheel before the next spin until you put them back.
Is my list saved?
Your list, history and settings are saved in your browser on this device only. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I show it on a projector?
Yes. Use the fullscreen button next to the wheel; the result card and Spin button stay large and readable.
